The Relationship App — Privacy and Legal Information

Privacy Policy

The Relationship App is an adults-only private relationship and Sex Code application. It may process account and profile information; private and public profiles; Sex Code messages; selected adult catalogue items; optional sender-written text; message revisions; Green, Amber and Red responses; optional safewords; recording preferences; custom catalogue items; connections and invitations; broad location and discovery preferences; blocks and reports; moderation records; exports; and account-deletion requests.

Information is used to operate app features, maintain user choices, provide support, prevent misuse, investigate reports, meet legal obligations and improve the private beta. Access should be limited to authorised systems and people with an operational, safety or legal need.

Custom idea sharing: when a user voluntarily enables sharing for a custom catalogue item, only that custom item's title and description are sent for the sharing purpose. Identity, partner data, proposal data, responses, location, safewords and recording settings are not included.

Notification privacy: a notification may display the numeric Sex Code reference, such as 2.10.23.46. Notifications must not display decoded catalogue items, personal message text, safewords or recording settings.

Terms of Use

Users must be adults legally able to use the service in their location. The app must not be used to threaten, coerce, exploit, impersonate, harass or facilitate unlawful conduct. Each user remains responsible for their conduct, communications, device security and compliance with applicable law.

Green accepts the exact current request. Amber proposes changes. Red declines. Consent may be withdrawn at any time. A response in the app does not replace clear, ongoing, freely given real-world consent.

The private beta may change, contain errors or be interrupted. The service does not promise end-to-end encryption, verified identity, guaranteed privacy, guaranteed safety, guaranteed deletion timing or continuous live moderation.

Community Standards

Respect consent, boundaries, privacy and lawful adult participation. Do not pressure someone after Amber or Red, misuse private content, evade blocks, create deceptive profiles, submit illegal material or target vulnerable people. Reports may be reviewed and proportionate restrictions may be applied.

Safety Centre

Pause when anything is unclear. Use Amber to propose changes and Red to decline. Withdraw consent whenever needed. Use blocking and reporting tools when contact is unwanted or concerning, and preserve relevant evidence outside the app if it is safe and lawful to do so.

The Relationship App cannot guarantee another person's identity, intentions, conduct or safety. The Relationship App is not an emergency or crisis service. If someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency service.

Account Deletion

Users may request account deletion through the app or the support page. Identity and account access may need to be confirmed before a request is completed. Deletion timing is not guaranteed.

Removing a message from normal view does not necessarily erase all safety, audit or legally retained records immediately.

Data Retention

Different records may be retained for different periods based on the feature involved, account status, user requests, security and fraud prevention, dispute handling, moderation, backups and legal requirements. Records should be deleted or de-identified when no longer reasonably required, subject to lawful retention needs.

Content Moderation

Moderation may occur after a block, report, safety signal or support request. It may involve automated checks and restricted human review where reasonably necessary. The app does not provide continuous live moderation and cannot review every interaction before it occurs.

Moderation records may include the report, relevant account or content references, review actions, outcomes and appeals. Access should be limited and proportionate to the safety, operational or legal purpose.
